The Ballina Jockey Club has a history dating over 110 years and has been an important part of the Ballina community. Ballina Jockey Club is located at Ballina on the beautiful North Coast of NSW, approximately an hour south of the Gold Coast with Byron Bay in close proximity.

The Jockey Club is located only 2km away from the town centre. Ballina is the largest coastal town in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. The town is adjacent to the Richmond River and over 30km of white sandy beaches. The town is a major service centre for the surrounding district and has a resident popualtion of over 10,000 people.

The Ballina Jockey Club holds 17 race meetings per year including the Ballina Cup run in Mid September each year attracting large fields and crowds. Other major feature days include the Byron Bay Cup, Boxing Day Races and the Iris Nielsen/Coolmore Ladies Invitation only Race Day in which attracts some of the best Lady Jockeys from around Australia.
